Guu Garden

Melon Soda with Ice Cream (Alcohol)

Sake

Guu Garden on Nelson St and Hornby St is, out of their several locations, is one of the best place to have some quality time with friends.  Located on the third floor patio-like restaurant, the atmosphere is very lively.  Each Guu Garden restaurants have different themes, and this particular location has a modern-traditional (Japanese) theme with cute round wooden tables and plastic chairs.  Last month I got to dine in this lovely restaurant on my twentieth birthday.  We got the option to dine outside in picnic bench-like tables.  I had a wonderful time, and will definitely come back.

Afternoon snack at Thierry | Chocolaterie Patisserie Cafe – Vancouver, Canada

Macarons

Ice'd Latte

Outfit

Thierry is located in downtown Vancouver on Burrard and Alberni Street. The place is a very beautiful cafe-like place.  The place was definitely busy, and was not a first-come-first-serve bases.  I picked out all the macaron flavors in front of me: Lychee, coconut, lime, lemon, and caramel.  Definitely was an enjoyable time with good company.  I will be back again and will be trying other pasteries from Thierry.

Palki Restaurant

Palki Indian Restaurant
1130 Commercial Drive Vancouver, BC V5L3X2

A couple weeks ago I went to an Indian restaurant to celebrate my friend's 20th birthday.  I knew what I came to this restaurant for, it was for the butter

chicken. I had butter chicken in fast food places and they were pretty good.  However, now that I tried butter chicken in a restaurant, I am safe to say, this is
the best butter chicken (so far) that I ever tasted.  The spices and the creamy was superb.  The restaurant was extremely ambiante and only had candles per
table.  However, since there was a light source near the corner, we had more lighting then other sections.  The waiter I had was a very friendly peoples person.
I will visit more genuine butter chicken cuisines in the future.

Wilfred Cargo Pants

I bought this Wilfred Lille Pant from Aritzia in this pastel, beige color.  I fell in love with it, but I wanted the black one but the black one was not on sale... damn! I need some harem pants, I'll just keep stalking Aritzia later on until I find them on sale later in the summer.  The fabric is amazingly soft I can touch it forever.  The color of the pants has different colors of beige and browns.  Since the fabric is made of lyocell, the colors are different.  I have not worn this yet, nor have I took the tags off, but it is sitting in my closet for awhile.  Perhaps when the Vancouver weather here warms up to spring, I will wear them out.  I should take more snap spots of the harem pants but the shots I took were all blurry and I did not realize it until I loaded the pictures to my computer late at night, boo!

Mac eye-shadow in Nylon

I finally gave in and bought my very first Mac product.  Reason because I've been watching Youtube all day lately, and especially Beautifymeeh's  (click name) channel.  Basically I'm obsessed with her!  She does these Korean make-up looks and she's just a bubbly genuine person.  Watching her and her adorable husband just makes me hate being single despite that I am very content being single until I find the perfect man (lol)!  She mentions the Mac eye shadow in Nylon and it is just more of a off-white shimmery highlight color.  It looks silver and it also looks off-white at the same time.  Perfect for highlighting eyes, cheeks, and nose.  I knew what I was going to get once I walked into the Mac store and altogether it only took 10 seconds in and out the store with my eyeshadow.  I don't think I'll be swatching just because I'm not a make-up artist and I suck at swatching.  I'm thinking of getting Amber Lights and some more other colors in the future because everyone's been loving Mac products and I guess I'm going to dive in the crave :)

I also purchased a couple of L'oreal infallable eyeshadows.  I have yet to take pictures of them, stay tuned!

Happy Chinese New Year!

Happy Chinese/Lunar New Year!  Last night I had a wonderful dinner with my family and it was a really good feast.  My family does a crazy 180 degree clean up around the house prior to the new year, and I have to say, my bathroom is clean as new can be... despite the heavy bleach smell but that will go away.  I hope everyone had a great lunar new year, and here's to a prosperous year!

Closet

Finally got around to purchasing new clothing hangers because I'm running out-- plus, I have got to stop stealing rusty, metal wires from the laundry closet! The hangers I had been using previously were rusty, wired and clothes kept slipping off of them, truly annoying!  I still have a few of the rusty wires hanging in my closet, but I will be going back to Superstore (Canadian store) and purchase more cute, plastic hangers!  Perhaps I'll start shopping in IKEA or Home Sense, Home Outfitters.  Lately I'm obsessed with the bottom hangers for my jeans and pants.  Lastly, I would love a vintage-styled coat rack as well as some tables for my room.

A little note about my clothing style: I am a chunky grandma clothing freak! I love grandma sweaters they are so adorable!  My get-go clothing is always a chunky cardigan, basic top, leggings, and a chunky circle scarf!  I LOVE staying warm all  year'round. : )

VERSION 2

I'm going to upgrade my blog into more of a visual diary blog.  Doing more photographs instead of pictures of things from websites.  :') Still a work in progress because I still need to work on my blog layout... haha! That means I have to go out more and explore Vancouver, Canada (maybe overseas: Korea, China, Japan, Europe... if I have the chance and save money!) and perhaps showcase my style. Bigger photographs and food pictures! Yay!  I'm not sure how many times I will update my blog of if I'll update every week because I am busy working and school, I don't have the time to lug around my DSLR camera everyday!  I do carry an iPhone but I rather take HQ pictures.. but we will see.

Until next time, bye readers!
